Empowering Students Through the School Greening Program
We partner with schools across Nakuru County to bring environmental education to life through the My Environment, My Future initiative β a hands-on program that encourages students to plant, nurture, and protect trees in their school environment.
Under teacher guidance, students:
π± Plant and care for young trees
π§ Water, weed, and monitor growth
π‘οΈ Protect seedlings until maturity
This immersive experience cultivates both greener school grounds and a deeper understanding of climate responsibility among Kenyaβs future leaders.
π― Program Objectives
π Environmental Education Students learn the importance of conservation, climate action, and sustainable ecosystems.
πΏ Youth Leadership & Ownership Hands-on participation empowers students to take pride and responsibility in their school environment.
π« Greener, Healthier Schools Increased tree cover enhances air quality, provides shade, supports biodiversity, and improves overall school ambiance.
